Am I a good candidate for this treatment? / Will this treatment work for me?

A chemical peel is appropriate for anyone wishing to diminish signs of aging on the face, hands, neck, and chest; discolorations like age spots, sun damage, or freckles; some forms of acne.

I have darker skin – can I still get this treatment done?

Absolutely! This treatment is appropriate for all skin tones.

Can I do it during my lunch break?

Some of our peels can be applied in just 10 minutes and you can go about your day! Soome peels are more invasive and will require minimal recovery time.

How many sessions will I need to see results?

Once your skin heals, you will see the results. Healing time ranges from 1 day for a refreshing or lunchtime peel to 14 days or longer for a deep peel. To get the results you seek from a refreshing peel or lunchtime peel, you may need to have 3 to 5 peels. 

How often/far apart should the treatments be?

Treatments should take place every 3-4 weeks until desired resuls are achieved.

Do I need to do anything to prepare for the treatment?

Before getting a chemical peel, some patients need to follow a pre-peel skin care plan for 2 to 4 weeks. This plan can improve results and reduce potential side effects. Your provider will tell you whether this is necessary.

How long does a treatment session last?

A light peel will take 10-15 minutes. A medium peel will take 15-20 minutes.

How long will the results last and are they permanent?

Once desired resuts are achieved, maintenance treatments should take place 2-3 times a year.

Is there really no downtime after the treatment?

 

Do I need to do anything after my treatment?

Your skin will peel for a few days following treatment. We will provide you with a product to use during that time. Once the peeling process is complete, you can return to your normal skincare routine.
